Itinerary help for a month in Ireland

My wife and I plan to be in Ireland for the Month of September. We plan to follow Rick's 3 week plan, but we want to take it slow and easy. How would you recommend we spend the extra week? Where should we extend and what might we add?

Wow that sounds great!

Looking at his three week itinerary, I'd spend an extra night in Kilkenny. On my way to Glendalough from Dublin, I'd stop at Powerscourt. Then by the time you get to Kilkenny it'll be closer to 5 p.m. or so. Then you could spend the next day in Kilkenny, see the castle, enjoy the town, and then head off on your way the day after.

With so much extra time, you might want to consider spending an extra night in each of Dublin and Belfast.

He doesn't have much at all in the center of the country. Considering staying a night near Tullamore, where you can sample the whiskey, head to Clonmacnoise, and see Charleville Castle.

If you want to head off the island, there is a ferry from Dublin to Wales - you could spend a few days there.

I'd consider staying a night in Doolin, which is very close to the Cliffs of Moher, and has a great music scene (though in my opinion, not as good as Dingle's).

we took that three week trip agenda with some alterations in 2013, this was our second trip to Ireland and did not want to spend anytime in Dublin other than the first and last day. We spend 2 nights each as follows: Kilkenny, Waterford, Kinsale, Kenmare, Dingle, Doolin, Westport, Letterkenny, Portrush, Drogheda(1 night). We are going back this year for 4 weeks and spending 4 nights each in Kilkenny, Kinsale, Kenmare, Dingle, Miltown Malbay(taking a cooking class), Clifden, Donegal Town, Swords(last night). As mentioned we spent time in Dublin and Galway the first time there for two weeksand enjoyed the country side much more.
