Itinerary help for 8 days in March.

Hello, all!

Would like to get your 2 cents on how best to organize my time (what's "can't miss", in your opinion) and which driving routes to take between cities. Here's what I've got so far: flying into dublin at 8 am on a Tuesday. Accomodations for Tuesday and Wednesday are a historic lighthouse in Wicklow. Accomodations for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are at a b&b in dingle and Sunday night thru Tuesday nights will be spent in inner city Dublin- Tuesday being st. Pattys day! We will be flying out of Dublin Wednesday.

Given that, we wouldn't mind swinging low on the way dingle in order to hit cork for a few hours. Is that feasible? And we have Cashel and Kilkenny on our list, maybe on the way back to dublin? I have plenty of ideas of how to stay busy in dingle and dublin- suggestions on top picks? And what to do in Wicklow area? Thanks a ton in advance:)

Hi Heather!

My husband and I traveled to Ireland this spring. We traveled from Dingle to Kenmare to Kilkenny (via Cork) to Dublin. We drove from Kenmare to Kilkenny and stopped and did the Jameson tour in Cork on the way that same day. The next day, we toured Cahir and Cashel, with another overnight in Kilkenny. We drove into Dublin the next day.

Consider overnighting in Kilkenny if you want to give yourself any time to make those stops on the way to Dublin like you are mentioning. If you get up super early and hit the road early, you might be able to squeeze one of those stops in on the way to Dublin but it will be a super long day. Not sure how late the car hire places are open either...might check that if you are going to get into town late.

Can't tell you anything on Wicklow since I haven't been. :)
