ISIC card for travel in Ireland

Hello, my 18-year-old daughter will be traveling abroad to Ireland next month, and I am wondering if she can just use her college student ID card (from the United States) for a student discount, or if she needs to get an ISIC card? It seems the TFI Student Leap Card is for Irish residents only...I tried clicking on the link to apply for one I get a message that says "We're working on it! There are maintenance issues that should be fixed shortly." But that message has been up for at least a week now. So I can't even try to apply for one anyway.

On some modes of transportation, she even qualifies for the child fare, which is defined as ages 5-18. (I think that was for one of the train lines...)

Anyway, thanks for your help!

The LEAP website is working again now. It is available for International students, but only those studying in Ireland- or that is my reading of the rules.

I think I would get an ISIC, on a belt and braces approach, as that is the purpose of the card.
