We are leaving Galway on a Saturday afternoon to travel back to Dublin to catch a flight back home on Sunday. I was wondering if there's any place special between the two cities to stop and see along the way? Just trying to figure out what time to leave Galway.

No. It's just the midlands. Keep going at 120kmph until you reach Dublin.

We stopped at the Kilbeggan Distilery. Depending on your interest they have guided tours. Good bathroom stop to stretch the legs.
