Is Bunratty Castle and Folk Park worth a side trip?

Hi my husband and I will be driving north after spending two night in Dingle. My plan was to take the car ferry from Tarbert and go see the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren (I would like to fit in the Burren Bird of Prey Center at Aillwee Caves )and continue to Galway area for two nights (still need to book a hotel so I am open to suggestions). I was planning on spending the next day driving through Connemara and the next day we have about 1/2 day before heading to Dublin for three nights. But am open if we should detour and see Bunratty Castle or anything else in the area and maybe one night near Galway.

Thanks for any suggestions.

The Bunratty Castle banquet is touristy and a bit hokey, but it was also fun. We enjoyed it. although we usually avoid planned touristy activities like we would avoid the plague! Connemara is beautiful - I would definitely give up time in Galway for more time in Connemara. Be sure to keep your petrol topped up while driving in Connemara - gas stations are not very common. Roundstone and Clifden are both worth a visit.
