We will be in Ireland in May following Ricks Best 3 week tour outline. We will be too early though to catch Trad on the Prom in Galway. Any other suggestions on where to see some step dancing along the way?

Sorry not too knowledgeable on the subject but my wife said if you are going to the Aran islands in Kilronan on Saturday nights they hold a Ceilidh with trad music and dance.
Only other thought was to contact the Irish Dancing Commission through the web or Facebook.

Thanks for your reply. We aren't staying over in Kilronan so that won't work.
I am thinking of trying Madden's in Belfast from Rick's book. I also see lots of dinner/shows in Dublin. Has anyone attended any of these (Johnnie Fox's, Merry Ploughboy, Celtic Nights)? They look kind of crowded and include a group dinner (not my favorite) but maybe they're good. Any info?
