Irish Ferries vs Trainline

Hi all:) I’m doing the ferry/train from Dublin to London at the end of May and was just about to book my Irish Ferries ticket when I discovered Trainline. Prices are comparable as is length of journey; I’m traveling this route vs flying for the experience (have been on a ferry too many time to count but never done the train thing before) so looking for input on choosing one over the other.
Much appreciated, Suzanne

I believe Trainline is a third party that sells ferry tickets for various companies. If I'm right about that, you'll be traveling on the exact same Irish Ferries boat.

From their website under About:

"We are a one-stop shop for train and coach travel. Every day we bring together routes, fares and journey times from more than 150 train and coach companies in 36 countries so our customers can easily buy tickets and save time, hassle or money.

"We stay one step ahead so our customers don’t have to, from making it easier for them to buy the best ticket for their journey to giving them live, personalised travel information on the go via our app."

Thanx so much for the reply. I now realize I should have asked Irish Ferries vs Stena Line...and from what I’ve just read they are similar, I should just choose best travel time. As mentioned, I’m very accustomed to ferry travels so doesn’t really matter if I get bells & whistles or not.
Thanx again, Suzanne:)

Sail-Rail tickets are a fixed price so pick whichever times you prefer. Trainline are a third-party ticket seller in Great Britain so no use to anyone travelling from Ireland.
