Ireland Visit April 9 Days

My husband and I are going to be Ireland for 9 days before going to Scotland. The plan is 4 nights in Dublin. Arriving late (6:45p) next day an all day trip to Belfast, next day a walking tour and checking out Dublin on our own, Friday more sights. Saturday we pick up a car at the airport then drive to Mallow. Hoping to see the Blarney Castle. Sunday we move on Doolin for 3nights. last night in Bunratty before flying out. Hopefully this is a good mix of country and city. We are flexible. Any suggestions or helpful hints?
Thanks
Chris

That looks like it gives you adequate time in Dublin, and the three nights in Doolin will give you a chance to see the Cliffs of Moher and other nearby sites. Is there a specific reason you are staying in Mallow? Blarney Castle is actually in Blarney, which is a cute little town. You might want to see Rock of Cashel on the way to Blarney, then you could stop in Cahir to see their castle in the middle of the River Suir on the way, too.

In Belfast don't miss having lunch at Mourne's seafood next to the Kelly Cellars Pub. I still dream of their fresh mussels and seafood chowder. Titanic museum is stellar. Have a pint at the Spaniard.

Personally I'd bypass Blarney Castle in favor of the Rock of Cashel. I'd also give up one night in Doolin for a night and day along the Dingle Peninsula, Slea Head. Stunning scenery. Killarney National Park is Gorgeous, Gap of Dunloe.
