Ireland Trip Insurance

We booked the 14 day Ireland tour for next June
Both in our 60's and good health.
Cost will be $8,000 ish
Any trip insurance recommendations? Cautions?
Thanks, Bill and Mary

If you booked the RS tour you will get information in the mail with some information about the TravelGuard Gold plan as soon as you are confirmed on the tour. (This may take a few days.) If you sign up within 2 weeks of your deposit being taken you get some extra bennies as a RS participant.

I usually get insurance but have never had to claim anything on it. If you are old enough for Medicare, check to see if your Medicare supplement covers internationally. I specifically picked my plan based on international coverage.

I know you asked about insurance but I hope you are planning to arrive a couple of days early. It just gives you some flex in case there are airline woes - cancellations, missed flights, etc, plus there is a lot to see in Dublin that you don't have time for on the tour. I always try to stay at the tour hotel as it is easier. You will get your first and last tour hotel information right away and I would recommend you book any extra days right away. I stayed 2 nights extra in Dublin, probably should have stayed 3!
