Does anyone recommend making Rail Tour reservations in advance or is it reasonable to acquire tickets once we arrive in Dublin?

Irish train tickets don't need reservations. However, the cheapest way to buy them is at www.irishrail.ie, even on the day of travel, instead of from live agents in the train station.

Thank you Laura. Do you know if this includes "Rail Tours Ireland", which provides one, two day trips to the west coast of Ireland?
