Anyone have any insight about Paddywagon Tours?
Are they a good way to go? Trustworthy?
Thanks for any ideas or insight!
I don't know about that tour group but we met some people on our Ireland trip who were on a Vagabond Tour and they loved it. The tour guide took them to every destination on their list and arranged hotels, inns, meals, etc. They were driven around in an oversized Range Rover with a luggage trailer on the back.
I haven't used them personally but I saw them all over Ireland. They look to be one of those mass tourism style bus tours. I don't think it would be wrong to go with them but you'll have to know that they would probably rush you through the tour and you wouldn't get to linger at sites very long. Look at their itineraries on their website and see how many people are allowed on their tours. That will give you an idea of what they are about. I hope this helps some.
I have never personally taken one of their tours, but my friends took the tour down to Kerry and really liked it as it is a great way to go if you don't want to have a car. Watch out for the accommodation, they have different options for your budget and it might be worth upgrading from the hostel.
