Im looking for feedback on possible conflicts with the Irish National Golf Tournament and how to deal with them, so please no politics.
We are currently in Ireland and really enjoying the country. Right now we are in Dingle. We leave for Doolin on Friday, September 11. On Sunday, September 13. we leave Doolin for Galway. We are interested in seeing the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren.
The golf tournament is September 10-13. Supposedly Trump arrives on the 12th and leaves on the 13th. They are expecting protests. A tour bus driver told us his company is providing alternate routes in case of disruptions due to the tournament or related.
I’m giving some thought to using a ferry to avoid driving thru Limerick to hopefully get us to Cliffs of Moher early/mid afternoon before we arrive Doolin. I’m not sure how much time the cliffs need. Then on the 11th we could concentrate on the Burren and not drive south to the cliffs.
I am not sure how busy Doolin will be because of the tournament. I know the BnBs are all full. We were hoping to enjoy music in the evenings. I’m going to contact our BnB to see if they have any recommendations for the weekend.
I find this ironic as I had to make revisions to our London itinerary last fall when Trump decided to visit Windsor on the same day we were supposed to go!
