Ireland March 17-25 with kids

Hi!
We are planning to go to Ireland March 17-25 with our children (2 and 4). We were wondering if anyone has recommendations on places to stay and things to do for families. We know there’s festivities for st Patrick’s day. , but wasn’t sure how that would look this year.

Also, we’ve looked into a few babysitting services and we’re wondering if anyone had info on that.

Thank you! We are really looking forward to this trip.

If Kilkenny is on your itinerary, take a look at Lawcus Farm Guesthouse. http://www.lawcusfarmguesthouse.com/

The farm animals are sure to entertain the children; host Mark will enlist them for help at feeding time. I would also expect there to be at least one baby lamb on site; my wife couldn't wait to bottle feed "Lamborghini" each morning during our 2018 visit. Anne-Marie's breakfasts are amazing. Kilkenny is an easy 15 minute drive from Lawcus (in Stoneyford). Kilkenny is a walkable town with a tourist "train" that would probably be fun. Can't think of much else that would amuse the kids (well, we did enjoy excellent ice cream at a shop on the main drag.) Stoneyford itself is small and quiet, with at least one pub that had live music one night while we were there. Anne-Marie might have leads on babysitters if you inquire.

This link will take you to a YouTube video of the guesthouse and grounds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kssaZ9VnrwY
