Hi Ken,

We are from Seattle, but live in Howth outside of Dublin (20 mins by train and highly recommended for a few hours for fab cliffs and seaside village). You are hitting the highlights, which is great. Newgrange is missing (north of Dub) and I would consider doing that vs Trim. Newgrange and the GPO (in Dub) are the two highlights that all of our guests agree on in the Dublin area! There is so much to see/do in Ireland that narrowing it down to a doable itinerary is hard. Message me if you have any questions.

Driving times look reasonable as you are not trying to cover too much ground each day. June 27th could be a long day if you are planning to visit both Riock of Cashel and Cahir Castles.

June 28th - Do you mean Waterville rather than Watersview?

July 2nd - Close to Athloine is the esrly Christian site of Clonmacnoise with its round towers, ruined chapels and carved crosses. If time allows it is well worth visiting.

Julky 3rd - I'm assuming when you say the burial mounts north of Dublin, you are referring to Newgrange and Nowth? If so make sure you book these well in advance as numbers are limited and the site does get very busy. It is well worth trying to see both Newgrange and Nowth if times allows. They are very different to each other. Also allow plenty of time for the visitor centre too.

You planned to go from Blarney on Friday June 28 to Waterville ?

Long drive. It will take you roughly 2 hrs to get from Blarney to Killarney to start your trip on the Ring of Kerry
through Killarney Nationalpark to Kenmare Sneem Caherdaniel to Waterville
Plan another 2 hrs driving time and add time for stops on the way.

Stops at Kenmare and Sneem to see the villages

afterwards a little detour to Staigue Fort leave the Ring of Kerry right at Castlecove 14km from Sneem
Drive 4km on a narrow road to Staigue Fort

Next recommended stop Derrynane House and Beach

Leave Ring of Kerry left at Caherdaniel signposted on the right side (Pub Blind Piper - good Bar Food) down to the House and Beach 2,5 km Carpark at the House and Gardens

House

Beach

Then on via Coomakista Pass (views) to Waterville and Lough Currane

Another detour to Loher Ring Fort near Waterville
Ring of Kerry 4km down to Waterville from Coomakista Pass then left signposted Loher Stone Fort

2,5 km Narrow Road to the Fort

Staying in waterville for the night you got time enough for detours and stops along the Wild Atlantic Way the next day

I would do another detour and not go direct from Waterville to Caherciveen but to leave the Ring of Kerry after 4,5 km and follow the signs of the Wild Atlantic Way which is here the Skelligs Ring

Go via Ballinskelligs (Pub and nice Beach) and the Finians Bay (Chocolate Factory) to Portmagee (Bridge Bar good Bar Food)
cross the Bridge to Valentia Island and to to Knightstown and cross via Ferry to Renard Point Caherciveen and follow the Ring of Kerry and Wild Atlantic Way from there again to Dingle

Finians Bay

Chocolate factory

Portmagee Bridge Bar

Knightstown Car ferry

There are many more stopps on the way from Caherciveen to Dingle.
Can post some more if you like but you have to choose cant do all on one day
