I am going to be in Ireland over Christmas, arriving Dec 23rd and departing Dec 28... any suggestions on where to stay and what to do, I'm thinking many places will be closed around the holidays. Looking for suggestions! Thank you, Jess.

Are you a city person or a country person?
Two years ago it was light jacket and t-shirt weather here in Waterville. Last year it was miserable!
Lots of city hotels will be open. One of my favorite Kerry hotels - Parknasilla - actually charges the most at Christmas, as that's their busiest week! You're right, though - lots of places are closed in the winter in the tourist villages, but still - a great time to see Ireland!
Book your car, early. Kids are off school so rental cars are in demand.....
