Ireland 8 day tour question

Question for anyone who has done this tour: We are thinking of doing this tour but we are more interested in nature and outdoor beauty than history. Do you feel this tour covers the parks and Ireland’s scenic beauty enough? Someone’s review mentioned feeling like they went to too many cemeteries on the tour.

You can read a fairly detailed itinerary--as a hiker, it would not be sufficient for me. I think the bonus of a tour is the camaraderie, the cultural and historical interpretation. If you want outdoors, I would look at a walking tour company or travel independently. Ireland is such an easy place to travel--plus the friendliest people I have ever encountered. Honestly, I was very nervous about the driving, but it was no problem at all! Maybe make up a day by day plan and see how you feel after you sit with it a bit.

Thanks for your input. I am going to think about planning myself which is what I’ve always done in the past and was going to try Rick Steve’s Tour because I like his travel books.

Just because you like the books, isn't necessarily the right reason to choose this tour. Check the itinerary and see if it meets your needs. It is very much a whistle stop tour hitting the high spots on the tick list. You can probably design something better to meet your specific requirements/interests - and see many of the other lovely places to be found in Ireland.
