Hello, I am looking for a 1 day bus tour out of Dublin. We would like to find one that visits a couple of the most beautiful scenic areas of Ireland. We only have 2 days in Dublin but would love to get out of the city on a bus tour and see some of the country and or coast. Looking for everyone's favorite and most beautiful destinations. Would appreciate any and all recommendations. Thank you!
Paddywagon to Giants Causeway.
The Giant's Causeway is plenty scenic but a very long bus ride in each direction, not all of it scenic. I'd suggest Glendalough or somewhere else in the Wicklow Mountains, not far south of Dublin. Or, if you're interested in prehistory along with scenery, this tour to Newgrange.
2nd vote for the Newgrange tour. Lots of good scenery and very informative.
We enjoyed the Mary Gibbons New grange tour!
I took the Paddywagon GC tour from Belfast and the bus had come up from Dublin. After the tour, the Dublin folks had about 90 minutes to spend in Belfast. Still, I believe they were back in Dublin by dinner time. It’s a long day, for sure. Also stopped at Dun Luce castle ruin and the Dark Hedges from Game of Thrones (yawn), plus lunch at a mediocre pub.
In addition to the previously mentioned Paddywagon, Wild Rovers has several day tours from Dublin.

If you want to avoid a long day on the bus, you could visit Howth.

I also have this tour noted in the notes for my upcoming trip.
I vote for Glendalough and the Wicklow Mtns. I loved this area, especially Glendalough. If you take the 1/2 day tour to these places you will still have enough time to take a 1/2 day trip to Howth on your own - it's easy to take the train there and it's a wonderful place on the water to spend a few hours.
We did a Wild Rover tour last week. It was a highlight of our trip and I highly recommend the company. They have numerous tours that look interesting to me. How long do you want to go for? We did the Northern Ireland one and it was a long day but well worth it. They have other shorter tours too.
SA, I’m happy to hear you enjoyed the Northern Ireland tour with Wild Rover. I’ve been debating signing up for that one for my upcoming May trip. You gave me the push I needed to sign up for it. :-)
Carrie glad to help. Get to the first area you can load on the bus early. We got there about 15 minutes before 7 ( the time listed) and the bus was about full. There was a second bus so we were able to be about the 3rd group on there. Both buses were full. Our guide was really good so very happy we got on that second bus. People that came later had to be broken up and not sit together. We went on a Sat end of Aug so was a busy time.
