I want to fly into Dublin and stay a few daus in the city and then travel to a few of the smaller cities. What's available for public transportation between cities?

Ireland has trains and buses. It is a bit more challenging to travel to some destinations, but it can be done. Perhaps you can tell us where you want to go and we can give more specific answers.
