Inishowen

Hi,
We are flying into Dublin and the heading toward Malin Head. We have a B&B for Friday night in Malin Head, but need to find a place somewhere between Dublin and Malin Head for Thursday night. Any suggestions? Also any must see off the beaten path things to see in Inishowen? We are leaving April 24th.

Thanks,
Becky

Why not train or bus to Belfast, stay the night,. Next morning take a black cab tour of The Troubles, visit the Titanic Museum, have lunch at Mournes, get a car rental at the airport and then drive to your Malin Head BNB?

That way if you arrive in Belfast by public transport you can see a bit of the city on foot and visit an ATM to get Pounds. Compact city.

Just a thought.

There's quite a bit to see on the Inishowen Peninsula. During our last visit we spent a few days exploring the area...but I have to admit, Malin Head was the highlight. We visited Fort Dunree, the Mamore Gap (GREAT magic road!), Glenevin Waterfall, Carrickabraghy Castle, Burt Castle and Grianan of Aileach.

One thing about Malin Head. The end of the 'official' foot path ends at an area known as 'Hell's Hole'...but the best views are beyond Hell's Hole. Just keep on walking....you'll see what I mean.
