Is it possible to purchase an iLink travel card at the Belfast City Airport? AI tells me it is but I don’t see it listed on the TransLink website. Also, is the card valid for the AirPort Express 600 bus? Thanks for any advice you have on using the card to travel around Belfast, and travel to Coleraine, Port Balintrae and on to Derry.
AFAIK you can't buy it at City Airport, only the International Airport, and in central Belfast. However you can have a card mailed to you, or I did in England
I assume it can be mailed to the US.
Yes it is valid on the #600.
For your Belfast day(s) buy a Zone 1 daily, top it up daily.
For your out of Belfast days top it up with Zone 4 daily tickets.
Check the prices to see if a Zone 4 (which includes the inner zones) weekly is the most cost effective solution. I suspect it will be, certainly saves on worrying about the Zones 1 to 3 boundaries.
If on certain days you are going out of Belfast to, say, Bangor check which zone that is in.
Thanks for the information. I am in Canada and we have a potential postal strike looming over us but I will have the passes sent to a friend in the UK.
