Hi all. Fell in love with Ireland this past summer. We spent a week and saw Shannon, Galway & Adare . We would like to go again next summer, possibly do 10 -12 days. We will do Galway and surrounding areas again as I have family there, but I’d like ideas for say 6 of the days. We will be driving and with 3 teens. Thanks
Doolin, Tralee, Dingle, Killarney Nat’l Park, Gap of Dunloe, Portmagee Cliffs of Kerry, Sneem, Kinsale....are just a few places to consider...
Hawk Walk at Ashford Castle. Plenty of comments available in the Search box above. Educational, unique; fun; the teens should be amazed.

It was a highlight of our trip. A "splurge" but no regrets. It's a "doable" day trip from Galway, but we did a 1-nighter in nearby and charming Westport (40 minute drive to Cong/Ashford from Westport) to make for a more comfortable drive to Cong/Ashford on the "morning of". (Can recommend a nice B&B in Westport; if interested, send a p.m.)
Last year we had 3 nights in Doolin and visited the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. Dublin's worth a visit as well!
Take a trip up the Wild Atlantic Way to Clifden, Westport, Sligo and Donegal and then over to Derry
Dingle Penin. and Ring of Kerry are 2 top areas I would recommend.
Head to Northern Ireland .
Arran Islands - a highlight of our trip (which was all great).
Skellig Michael - out of this world!
Thanks all, I’ll be sure to research all these!
KevinK - can you recommend a place to stay in Doolin? It's been a few years since I have been there. Thanks!
See my post in the 10 day trip forum. On the western side I recommend: Cong, Connemara, Clifden and driving the Wild Atlantic Way. We also loved Kinsale, Dingle, the Dingle peninsula and Kilkee which has pollock holes. And don't miss the Burren.
