Hello...I am visiting Dublin for the first time this summer. Staying in the city for one night, exploring the center. Then I am traveling west a bit for a wedding for a few days. I will return to Dublin for one quieter night before my flight home the next day. I was looking at smaller towns/neighborhoods outside Dublin and Howth and Malahide both are very much of interest to me. I would like to explore both, but am asking for tips on which one to look for accommodations in? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Alison, We are from Seattle, but currently live in Howth. We love Malahide, but Howth has my vote, as it has more character, restaurants and most importantly the Cliff Walks, which are spectacular. Howth walking tour (just google it) is a great way to get the history and see the incredible views. Our favorite restaurants are along the marina....lots of great choices.
