Traveling to Ireland the first week of July with my 3 children. I think they would love to visit the pier in Howth and see the seals. I also saw a sunset cruise which looks beautiful but doesn’t seem to run while we are there. We are staying in Dublin for 3 nights and would really like to spend some time in Howth. Any suggestions, guides, tours, tips would be appreciated. Thank you!
Howthcliffcruises.ie have availability on the sunset cruise on Wednesday to Sunday night's each week in July.
We just took a train from the train station, to Howth ( check the one closet to you )
Very nice place, not big but lots to see, great sea food.
another place you may look at is Malahide Castle & Gardens.,
Both are a short train ride.
Hi from drizzly Howth,
We live in Howth and are happy to answer any questions you may have. Sammy the Seal (actually there are several, but we just call them all Sammy) is a local celebrity, and there are times he will flap his flipper if you don't feed him something. Of course, it is preferred you don't feed him/them, but if you really want to do so, go to the fishmongers and ask from some scraps. Most of the time they will give you those (sometimes not).
The cliffs are definitely something to do, and not difficult...you can walk there easily from the Dart station (train from Dub) and do as much or as little as you want. Lots of great food, and a really nice place for a day trip!
Feel free to private message me for any specifics.
