We will be docking in Ringaskiddy and would like to go to Cork on our own. Question 1–best way to do that without a car? Question 2–what should we do/see once there?
Thanks much!

Question 1- Take Bus Eireann services #223 and #225, both of which are pay on bus-
(the BE website broke down while I was posting this so the #225 TT had to be sourced from elsewhere)
Docking so far out of Cork I would have thought that the ship would provide a shuttle, which they won't tell you about yet to protect shore ex sales.
They only dock at Ringaskiddy when the Cobh berth is full.
When they are docked over there they normally provide a special ferry service across the bay to Cobh, for all the normal Cobh attractions. Check with your cruise line on that, although that may remain a secret as well until the last moment.
Ringaskiddy is also the car ferry port from France.
isn31 c has beaten me to post... There is an hourly 225 bus service which takes about 50 minutes.
Have a look at this list of things to do and see in Cork.
Thanks very much for the replies!
