How much time to see Killarney National Park area

Staying overnight in Kinsale and weren’t sure about staying next night in Kenmare since it’s only 1 hr 40 min. away. Hope to leave early a.m. and drive to Killarney National Park, possibly visit Muckross farm and then stay night in Waterville on ROK. Is that doable? How much time should we plan for National Park area? How long would a drive through park take? Not sure about Muckross house but definitely want to see that area. Thanks

You can definately do it in a day, although if I was you I would re-think driving those narrow roads crowded with people walking and jaunting carts etc. Another mode of transport would be less stessful.

Well....

You don't have anything on your profile to give us hints as to what you might like to do, so it's hard to say about KNP! It could take hours or you could take DAYS! You certainly could do that Kinsale; leasurly drive to Killarney and see a bit of the Park; then drive to Waterville via the Sneem road. That takes you through the Park as well, after your Muckross Farm visit.... Then, after spending the night in Waterville you can enjoy the Skellig Ring/Skellig Loop area off the Ring of Kerry on that next day.....

As for the comment above about dealing with the jaunting cars and tourists on the road.... I don't think that's an issue on the road; people rarely are walking off the trail!

Enjoy Waterville! ;-)

I think it depends no what you want to do We rented bikes just outside the park and rode to Muckross house and farms and to Torc waterfall. We were in the park for a little over 3 hours if I remember correctly
The park is very big so it really depends on what you want to do/see

Here is a great web site to help you decide what you want may to do/see and therefore how much time you may need
