Planing a family trip we will have 1 7 year with us, any problem with having dinner in a pub later in the day, will we need to lave at a certain time

Ireland is different than the States. And in addition he will be with you. You stay as long as you need.

Per Irish law, the cutoff age for minors being out of the pubs at night is 15, so you shouldn't have any issues staying as late as you like.

A 17 year old in a pub, with parents, after dark ??? Be careful, or you may get arrested for child abuse.
(Just kidding of course, I don’t know diddly about Ireland!)
