How is public transportation in Dublin?

See the above. I have some nerve damage in my feet and it will get painful if I walk more than a mile or so (with seeing the sight I'm headed to on top of that). For example, visiting Paris is perfect for me, so many metro stops and you can get close to anywhere easily. I like subway type systems better than buses, but I often ride buses at home and I could figure it out.

Thanks!

Dublin has a subway and a bus system although I've not used either. Just do a google search for them and I'm sure that will provide a good starting point for your research, planning, and further questions. Hope this helps.

Greetings from Ireland (Dublin as I write this)
Dublins public transport system is pretty good. We don't actually have a subway, but we do have a tram (the LUAS, pronounced like Jerry Lee Lewis). But it has a north and south line, and at time of writing they don't join up and connect.
Dublin bus offers a good public bus-service.
We have a light rail called DART.
Taxis are reasonable enough in price. Most drivers are informative and good fun.
There is a good choice of open-top buses which will enable you to drive between all the top tourist/visitor attractions for about 15euro for a 2 day pass.
You'll have no problems getting around the sights you want to see!
