How crowded will it be in Dingle in Late April?

The more I read the more it sounds like it will be more crowded than I expected.

Thanks

I was in Dingle the last week of April 2009. It's my only time there so I have nothing to compare to, but I didn't feel it was crowded.

Last April was a bit busy but not bad. Much more a pain when we were there in June. Should be fine - enjoy !

Richard,
We stayed in Dingle the last weekend in April 2017 and it wasn't bad at all. We actually arrived during a bankers holiday weekend so it was busier than normal but very much comfortable. I would say there were more folks there than I expected for April but it was not an issue. There was an arts and music festival going on that weekend that we were not aware of but it only added to the fun in Dingle. I actually would try to schedule over this festival weekend if we were to return to Dingle. The festival added musical acts throughout the day so it greatly increased our opportunities to see various bands from all over. I live in rural Indiana so I'm not really used to crowds but Dingle crowds were not a problem You most definitely should try to reserve your room, B&B or hotel asap, and try to reserve for a special dinner in advance if possible (IE Out of the Blue Seafood). We were there from Saturday April 29 thru May 3rd, totally loved it. We even took in a Sunday afternoon gaelic football match in Dingle and it was great. dave

We stayed in Dingle for 2 nights last June, and I didn't think it was that crowded. It was during the week. Although, I didn't really think anywhere in Ireland seemed that crowded. :)

Greetings from Dingle, late April is a great time to visit Dingle, things don't get ultra busy until July and August, so you'll be grand.
I just pulled into town tonight with a group ands it pleasant and even a little quiet.
A wee bit chilly but we are hoping for a blissful day tomorrow out around Slea Head.
Enjoy

ps our great Celtic arts festival held on the first week end of May is Féile na Bealtaine. (pronounced 'be y'all tan-ah', not 'bal-tane')
If you can fall in with some local for that festival its really magical.

My wife and I were there in the first half of May 2016 and neither the town nor the peninsula were crowded---not even close.

Thanks again. Good to hear that the crowds should be low.

The Féile na Bealtaine sounds good but might be a bit too late in our trip to still be in the Dingle area. But who knows? Maybe we'll get so comfortable there we'll just stick around for a few extra days and blow off the rest of the country.
