We will be visiting family all day in Mountbellew and have reservations the next day in Adare. Looking for a hotel to stay in just for a night after our visit. We prefer not to put the family out by staying with them. Would like something close to Mountbellew as well be tired and only will sleep and wake next day ,eat breakfast then drive to Adare Manor. Family with 3 kids. Hotel should have restaurant for breakfast and connecting style rooms. Close to main road on our drive. Thanks!

Hello, I hope you enjoy your visit to Mountbellew. I live near there, so here's my advice: I am guessing you are planning to take the M18 to Adare. You will be able to pick it up near a village called Abbeyknockmoy, which is probably about 20 minutes from Mountbellew. But there are no hotels on this route. You could drive a little further than Abbeyknockmoy to a place called Claregalway. There are at least two hotels there. (I think one of them is called The Arches, but Google will help you with that). Then next morning you could drive back to Abbeyknockmoy to get on the M18 to Adare. You could also go from Claregalway into Galway city to get on the M18 there, but I don't recommend you do that as traffic in the city can be very busy. As an alternative to hotels, have you considered a B&B? I don't know of any specific ones around Mountbellew or Abbeyknockmoy, but you might find something or your relatives might be able to suggest a place. Good luck and enjoy your holiday in Ireland!
