Hotel rec in Dingle?

Hello,

I'm staying in Dingle for one night and am looking for a hotel/B&B. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

Best,
Cynthia

We loved the Lighthouse B&B at lighthousedingle.com . It is a purpose built B&B with a fabulous view of the harbor. Dennis and Mary were great hosts and if wee ever get back to Dingle we will absolutely be staying there. Our only problem was that we were only there for two days.

John and Angela's lovely Cill Bhreac House B&B. John's brown bread is wonderful. Have a pint at Foxy John's, some perfectly brewed tea and garden charm at the Wren's nest, beautifully crafted items at Commodum on Main Street and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets on the harbor.

Have stayed at the Lighthouse and Celli Bhreac and prefer Celli Bhreac as I loved the upstairs balcony where you can make tea in your room and then have a cup outside and view the town. Both are great , just my personal preference.

Milltown House, operated by RS tour guide Stephen McPhilemy, was wonderful.

We stayed at Murphy's B&B (not the one over the pub...beside it). Very nice couple owned the B&B, very helpful & in general nice to talk to.

Plus if you stay at Milltown, you might get to meet Seamus the Irish wolfhound!

I stayed across the inlet at Castlewood House and it was lovely. Breakfast was wonderful as well.

Hi Cynthia -- I stayed at the Tower View B&B while in Dingle in October 2014, and really enjoyed it. It is only a few years old and my room was spacious and comfortable. Mary and Robbie are the owners, and Robbie is behind the scenes, so Mary is the "face" of the B&B. She and her staff put on a very nice breakfast in their beautiful, large dining room.

The Tower View is about a 15-minute walk from the Dingle town center and is away from the business of the town center, so it's nice and quiet. It's right across the road from a large pasture with sheep, and you get some nice views of the harbor while standing in front of the B&B.

All of these are very good options. I'll throw another name out there: we stayed at Browne's B&B. http://www.brownesdingle.com/. I can't recommend it enough. The owners (John and Camilla) were such friendly wonderful people. John spent a good 30 minutes with us on our arrival telling us his favorite pubs and restaurants in town, filling us in on where the best music would be that night, etc. Camilla gave us detailed information in advance of our Slea Head drive (even some stuff Rick missed). Their breakfasts were delicious, and Camilla's brown bread was the best I ever had. Only thing I'd point out is that this B&B is slightly outside (like a 10 minute walk) outside of the town center. We preferred this as it was very quiet and we enjoyed the walk.

Cynthia,

You might have a look at Alpine Guesthouse. It's in a great location and within easy walking distance to the local Pubs and the centre of town.

I am in Dingle as I'm typing this reply and we are staying at O'Neill's B&B, it is clean, reasonable, within walking distance of everything and the breakfasts are awesome. Also, it's listed in RS guide book.

Just returned from a stay in Dingle. Greenmount House. Hands down, the best place we stayed in Ireland. Clean, comfortable. Very large room. Staff are exceptional. Beautiful view. Short walk to town and restaurants. Best breakfast I think I have ever had!! I would go back just to stay there!

Three years ago we spent two nights at Milestone House and highly recommend it! It's located outside of town at the start of the Slea Head drive. Barbara was friendly and welcoming--she provided us with lots of helpful info about the town and things to see, not to mention delicious breakfasts. RS recommended.

We have stayed twice at Pax Guesthouse, and give it top marks all around. Absolutely love John, the proprietor, as well as the gorgeous location just outside town overlooking the harbor.
