Hotel or BnB in Dublin

I am looking for recommendations for a good, non expensive hotel or BnB in Dublin. I would preferably like to stay in the city center, but I understand it can be expensive to stay in this area.

Thank you!

We stayed at Staunton's on the Green, and would definitely recommend it. It's on the southern edge of St. Stephen's Green, so it is walking distance to everything, but was quiet at night. The free, full Irish breakfast was very good. The service was great too. They let us check into our room at 9:00 a.m. after we arrived on a red eye, and invited us to have an extra day of breakfast that morning. We booked using credit card points, but I think the rooms generally go for between 100 and 150 euros per night.

I don't think there is anything very cheap in Dublin unless you get quite a distance from City Center. We were looking for the same thing. We made reservations for the Albany House. They have a website online and online reservations. They are right next to Stevens Green and a short walk into the Temple Bar area. It was very reasonable at 119 euros a night. The exchange rate is pretty good right now so that is pretty close to the dollar price. They were very nice to work with and the place looks nice. Time will tell, we will be staying there for three nights in June. This hotel is also a 5 min walk to the airport transfer bus station which was a bonus for us.
Good luck!

Take a look at the Glen Guesthouse. It is a couple of blocks from O'Connell St, just behind the Custom House, on Lower Gardiner St. I stayed there a few years ago and was very happy with it. They have some multi-night specials that include the hop on hop off bus, too.

Jenna - A few years back our family stayed at the Waterloo Lodge in Dublin. It met our needs quite well and the breakfast was outstanding. It's about a 15 minute walk to St Steven's Green or there is a bus stop right outside the front door.

We used Jacobs Inn Hostel. 10 minute walk to downtown. 5 minutes to the bus station to get bus to airport. They have several rooms for 2.
