I will be traveling to Ireland in October, 2016. For the first two nights I will be staying alone in Dublin before my fellow travelers arrive and pick me up. I want to find a good hotel in Dublin, walking distance to some nice restaurants, etc. but someplace safe for a sixty something woman, traveling alone to be. Thanks so much!!

I stayed in the Harding Hotel with a Rick Steves tour in 2014 and altho I was with others for that visit I would feel perfectly comfortable staying there as a solo traveler. There was a pub on the ground floor that was a bit noisy for the rooms on the street but I faced another direction and could not hear them. There were a number of nice restaurants in the area.
