We are planning a trip to the Dingle Peninsula in June. We hope to go horseback riding while we are there. Does anyone have any recommendations on equestrian centers?
Although about a 2 hour drive from where you'll be I can't recommend highly enough the Clonshire Riding Academy in Adare. Several years ago my daughter and I spent an entire week doing serious training training there. We so enjoyed it that we still talk returning. The facilities, horses and teaching are top notch. You train in the arena, cross country and even on lovely trails. We are experienced equestrians and can not recommend them highly enough.
THANK YOU! It sounds lovely! We will be checking it out.
There are also at least 3 riding stables along the Ring of Kerry. Glenbeigh, Waterville and Derrynane. The Glenbeigh one has beach riding on Rossbeigh Beach (fabulous); Waterville has riding through the village and on the golf course beach; and ROK equestrian has riding on Derrynane..... which is amazing. Dingle has beach riding, too.... it's just a bit more crowded on that peninsula.
Are you planning on staying in Dingle? Be sure to check out Milltown House! The owner is a Rick Steves Guide!

OK! Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. We will be looking into these options! And, Ireland is SO popular this year that we've already found 'no vacancies' at many of the B&B's we had planned on using. We've even booked our airline tickets. I think it's probably because we're going in June and we've always gone in the shoulder season before.
