Horseback Riding

My family will be staying in Doolin from October 13 to October 15, and we're hoping to go horseback riding. We contacted Mountain View Stables, but unfortunately they close on October 12, just before we begin our stay. Does anyone have any recommendations for other stables in the area? We're hoping to do a beach trek if possible. Thanks very much!

Do your plans include a visit to the Ring of Kerry, south of Doolin? If so, check out Eagle Rock Equestrian on the Ring of Kerry (village of Cahirdaniel). https://www.eaglerockcentre.com/

It would probably be too far from Doolin for a day trip (4 hours each way per Google Map). Their rides are on beautiful Derrynane Beach. My wife had a memorable ride there in May 2018. (I enjoyed a pint in the equally accommodating Blind Piper Pub in the village).

You might also look at Burke's Beach Riding in Glenbeigh, also on the Ring/Kerry but a somewhat shorter drive from Doolin. http://beachtrek.ie/ We chose Eagle Rock because of proximity to our B&B in Kenmare, but Burke's looks like a similar option.

If the Forum doesn't produce more promising leads, either of the above might be able to refer you to a stable closer to Doolin.

Finally, I just popped Doolin + Horseback Riding into Google and saw a number of prospects and a list on TripAdvisor.

I also saw Killarney Riding Stables, killarneyridingstables.com; or Drumcliffe Equestrian, or Castlefergus, castlefergusequestrian.com.

I don’t know anything about these except that they do pony trekking.,
