Hop on Hop off bus question

Hi-
Does anyone know if the 48 hour ticket has to be used 2 days in a row? I would like to use it Sunday and Thursday, if possible.

It does have to be used 2 days in a row

Once you activate the ticket - it's two consecutive days.
