Honeymoon Itinerary Advice

Hi all, We will be honeymooning in Ireland (1st visit) for 7 days end of July, beginning of August, and looking for any advice. Basically wondering if this is too much and possibly too stressful for a honeymoon and open to suggestions.
Day 1 : Arrive Dublin airport - staying at the shelbourne
Day 2 Exploring dublin
Day 3 Picking up a rental car (back at the airport to avoid city traffic) heading to killarney
Day 4 either exploring killarney more and/or starting a clockwise ROK drive at some point, staying somewhere on the ring in hopes of visiting skellig michael on day 5
Day 5 Skellig michael weather permitting, driving to dingle where we will stay
Day 6 Dingle Loop and staying in dingle a second night
Day 7 Travel north to visit the cliffs of moher, burren, not sure where we will stay. Maybe doolin but probably somewhere close to the airport such as ennis or bunratty. Possibly dromoland castle since it is our honeymoon, just not sure if it is worth the cost.

Flying out of shannon on day 8 around 1 pm

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! happy traveling!

I would skip Killarney -- except for the park itself-- as it is chock full of tourist buses. Instead consider adding Kinsale down on the coast. Check out The Cloister B&B there. We also love the Kilkenny area. We have found Dingle to be fantastic. Doolin was a bit of a disappointment. The Cliffs are definitely worth seeing, but I'd sleep elsewhere.

Congrats on the upcoming wedding! We just returned this week from Ireland and none of us liked Killarney. You might instead consider taking the train from Dublin to Cork and picking up the car in Cork; then drive down to Kinsale in lieu of Killarney. (Strongly recommend staying in Kinsale if you can. Very cute romantic town with great food and drink). On your route up to the Cliffs of Moher, bypass Limerick by taking the ferry at Tarbert and take N67--great views along the way. If you haven't driven in Ireland before consider the potential stress from spending a lot of time in the car; keep in mind that Irish roads tend to be much narrower than those in the US and there are not a lot of flat straight stretches (this includes their major routes like N67, N69, N22). For the rental car be sure to take the CDW (or "complete coverage") and carefully inspect the car for every ding and scratch (and for the spare and jack) before you leave the lot. We used Budget mainly because they guaranteed us an automatic transmission; most companies default to a manual. Safe travels.

I too wouldn't stay in Killareny but WOULD visit and walk in the Killarney National Park. Could be a day trip from Dingle and be sure to add a visit to the Gap of Dunloe which lies between Killarney and Dingle. Minimum two days in Dingle. You won't regret that itinerary adjustment.

If you do end up staying in Killarney, check out Friar's Glen B&B. It is a quintessential, wonderful B&B and I think it would be perfect for a night or two on your honeymoon. We loved staying there. If you end up wanting to stay elsewhere than Killarney, Kenmare is also a good choice.
