Register with a long-standing home exchange website like homelink.org. We’ve had a lot of success with homelink over the years.
EDIT: Not too sure about a three month exchange but you could try for a couple of one month exchanges.

Here’s another idea. We’ve stayed for 4-6 months before in Europe. We don’t leave our house empty while being out of the country. We rent our furnished house out by contacting our local university to see if a visiting or temporary faculty member is looking for furnished housing to rent. With the rental income we’ve been able to rent accommodation in Europe sometimes at another university. This is a bit more complicated because you have to declare the rent that you receive as income.
