It is my first time traveling to Ireland . June 10-17th I have cancer and tire easily, so I have planned to Hire a driver to get us from Galway to Killarney.?Or A cab? Our plans are to arrive in Shannon the morning of the 10th of June: should we take a cab to Galway or hire a driver to take in some sights ( the Cliffs) on our way to Galway? We are staying in Galway for 3 nights in Jury's . I thought if we did touring on the day we arrived it would give us more time to explore Connemara and perhaps the Aran Islands.
We then plan on staying at the Lake hotel in Killarney .How is the hotel? I could not get reservations at any B& B's or other more " Irish" accommodations.
Our plans are to tour the ring of Kerry one day, the Dingle peninsula the next day and try to find time to take a Jaunting cart ride and see Muckross .
The price I got from Kerry Experience tours is cheaper than the private car for the drive to Killarney and touring by them for the days we are in Killarney and a transfer at the end to a hotel near Shannon on Friday before we leave Saturday Morning.
Thank you for any Suggestions on Transportation or Adjustments on our travel or Tour suggestions.

I don't really have any answers to your transportation/accommodation questions, but I just wanted to share that I'm a cancer survivor too, and while I've had to change the way I travel, I still get out there and do it! Yay! To you. I hope you have the trip of a lifetime!

We absolutely adored the Lake Hotel! The food was great, the rooms were very spacious and the service was excellent. The reviews are incredible. We saw dear every day. It is right next to Killarney National Park as well.
