Hindsight

Hello
Travel community, we just returned from Ireland two days ago. My husband and I had many hiccups. Dublin was enjoyable. We have lots of good memories. However, be advised that Ariel House B&& in Dublin. is right next to Aviva Stadium. We were just lucky that there was no event going on there. I booked Ariel House because it said it was on a quiet street in a residential area Lol. Also did not know a major train station is less than a block away. Next, Kinsale is not that beautiful and nearly got run over by way too many cars on tiny streets. Vehicles will ruin Kinsale. Cloisters B&B there is run by very nice ladies who helped us very much. Also, one of the most beautiful towns is Kenmare, we enjoyed but you can’t get a taxi to get around. We had to leave it a day early. We are seniors and you really need a car in Kenmare. We had to constantly pivot our plans. We ended up with a nice trip over all but disappointed in missing travel information and I have two guide books. We ended up in Killarney out of desperation in a lovely B&B called Lios n’a Manach. We got excellent taxi service there and a tour of the Ring of Kerry which saved our vacation. The weather is better than the reports say but we were prepared for rain. It did rain heavily two out the 10 days. Thanks hope this helps someone to avoid some stress we experienced

I always use Google Maps or other online map tools to check out the area surrounding any place I'm considering booking. Also, I read the reviews. That can often reveal potential issues, such as a nearby stadium or train, although those would be features for some travellers.
