Hiking sticks on the Ireland in 13 days tour?

We are in our late 70s and are very active and healthy. We are taking the Ireland tour next month. For those who have taken this tour, would you recommend we bring hiking sticks for the walking that the tour requires? We don’t PLAN to go off on our own for lengthy hikes but we would take nice long walks about. My sticks would have interchangeable tips for in town and countryside walking. Recommendations are welcomed.

We took the tour in 2019. I do remember there was a chance to walk/hike the Giants Causeway, and you might appreciate having them with you there. (It’s pretty amazing!) I’m sure you would find other places to use them…Dingle, Kinsale & Charles Fort and Derry. And even in Dublin. Enjoy! It’s a wonderful tour.

Haven't done this particular tour, but for hiking or walking in Ireland generally we really appreciate having poles to help us navigate the sometimes uneven ground ... especially if we go very far off the beaten track.
Remember that you'll have to pack them in your checked luggage - can't bring them aboard in your carry-on.

I took this tour in 2018 and was so glad I brought 1 of my sisters hiking sticks. I remember a couple areas it was vital. Like the Burren, Dun Aengus & the Giant's Causeway. It just helped me feel more secure on uneven ground.

Thanks to all of you. I’d really like to bring them but we aren’t checking a bag, as we travel “Rick Steves Light.” I’ll contact Aerlingus to see if there’s a way to bring them on board.
