Heritage card

I am signed up for a 2023 RS Best of Ireland 13 d tour. I read in his Ireland book about the Heritage card. For those who are on his tours, would this card be a useful purchase for use during the stops and optional times?

Looking at the itinerary, I would say no as there doesn’t seem to be a lot of free time, and the tour hits a lot of the sights where you would use it.
