Here's My Dublin Hotel List, Thoughts Please

I did a ton of research the past two days and here is my list. Although some of these still have some cons, I think they all meet our needs the best. Although we can swing them all, some of these are on the cheaper end and if that works would like to stay on budget or below. Do you have any personal experience with these? If so, would you stay here, why or why not? Feel free to make a few choices. I really appreciate the input. They are not in any specific order.
Thank you!

We stayed at Cassidy’s about 3-4 years ago as part of our RS Best of Ireland tour. We were not fans of this hotel. I’m not sure if it was the time of year (end of June) and the fact we were on a tour, but our dark room was on a noisy alley and the breakfast staff not at all welcoming. The front desk staff was the only redeeming things about this hotel. The location worked for us, but figure the location into the places you want to see. Check other reviews to see if they support,my view - things can change.

Not certain why you picked the ones you did. I’ll assume they are all in a location you wouldn’t mind staying in and close to the places you want to visit. I’d check some of the reviews from TripAdvisor to help narrow down your choices. All but three seem to be a fair distance from Dublin’s main sights.

I stayed at Wynn's last May. It is easy to walk from there to most of the major sites and the light rail literally runs right in front of it - which is a blessing and a curse. Blessing for obvious reasons. Curse because of the noise on the lower levels facing the tracks. We were fairly high up - don't remember the floor, and the trolleys don't run all night - so it didn't bother us. The staff are nice, the rooms are small but sufficient and the breakfast was quite good. Because it is just off of O'Connell Street it is easy to catch HOHO buses and there's a taxi rank across the street. If you are not used to big cities you may be discomfited by the people sleeping rough in the alleys and bus stops. But they seemed harmless, didn't ask for money and never bothered me even when I was walking by myself in the evening.

I stayed at the North Star for one night only this past March and didn’t care for it, I felt the room was kind of dark. I wouldn’t pick it for myself but if I had to stay there again it wouldn’t be the end of the world. Not sure if that helps. Also stayed at Buswells (2017) and the Hilton Garden Inn Custom House and would stay at either of those again.

I've stayed at both Cassidy's and the Maldron in Parnell Square. The Maldron was far better. Cassidy's is rather tired, the rooms are well worn and they stuck us in an out of the way wing across from several meeting rooms. The Maldron was rather generic but clean, comfortable and a good value. I'd gstay there again, but probably not at Cassidy's..

My Husband and I stayed at Jury's Inn Parnell street 7/19-7/23 and found it very comfortable, quiet and conveniently located to O'Connnell Street and most Dublin attractions. The breakfast was very good, front desk staff friendly and we were 5 min walk to Murray's, a nice restaurant on O'Connell St. with free Irish singing and dancing along with an outdoor biergarten out back. The Jury's is also a short walk to the pick up spots for bus tours to heading to the Cliffs of Moher and Belfast. Shopping on Moore and Henry street are just around the corner and an easy walk down to the river Liffey. We were very happy with our stay on the north side of the river
