Hello again. May I please have suggestions for things to see/do on Dec 11. We will have stayed overnight at shannon and can't check into our b&b in Salthil til 3 pm...looking for what do do...I know it's just over an hour drive to the b&b. We will be staying in Salthill for 4 days, then to Kilkenny for 4, Wexford for 3 and Wicklow for 2 before outer stint up north for Christmas with family. Suggestions? Trying to make a loose itinerary...we have been to Bunratty Castle and I see the folk park is not open thatvday so looking for alternatives. Thank you so much!

If it is a lovely sunny day with blue sky (we can get days like that in December!) then do a detour round the Burren on you way to Galway. Head out to Ennistymon and then along the coast through Liscannor, Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Fanore to Ballyvaughan. and then Salthill.
If it is a dull damp and drear day then think of Limerick (St John’s Castle, St Mary’s Cathedral...) OR head to Galway and spend the time there.
