Background: plan own trips, last 2 to Europe were backpacking a month with each of our children. I have not done a drive around in a single country in Europe and am struggling with plan. We are doing to Fly in/out of Shannon and drive part of the West/Southwest Coast. I hate to rush through areas and in larger cities try to never do less that 3 nights.
What I am thinking:
April 15 Arrive Shannon and drive to Galway (2 nights) arrival day around town next day go west probably to Kylemore and back
To Doolin 1 night
To Kilrush 1 night (or directly to Tralee)
To Tralee 1 night (or directly to Dingle)
To Dingle 2 nights
Maybe over to Kinsale/Cobh 1 night (2 nights if skip Tralee or Kilrush or up to Kilkenny/Cashel 1 night)
To somewhere close to Airport and out in the morning.
I may be frontloading and backloading my driving times.
Is this too ambitious or not ambitious enough - should I cut and replace anything. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks for the help in advance.
