We are looking for a nice place to stay for 3 nights in August. We had hoped to stay at the Petra House but they are booked with a wedding. I'm assuming it's best to stay in or near (walking distance) the center of town in order to enjoy the pubs and other activities without having to drive everywhere. Any suggestions?

We stayed at a really nice Airbnb on The Long Walk on 2019. I tried to see if it’s still available, but it must be off the market. 🤷♀️ Maybe you can find something else.

There are many other B&Bs on College Rd. Look nearby on Google Maps and pick pick one: College Road B&Bs

We always stay at Prague House. Short walk to the town center, especially The Crane Bar, which is our favorite pub.

Thanks for the suggestion on the Prague House. I might see if they have availability for my trip in June 2022. Was planning on staying at the Nest Hostel, but this place is a much closer walk to town.

As others have noted, there are many B&Bs on College Road. I've stayed twice at College Crest house and been happy there.
