I have a 2 nights reservation at Imperial Hotel for August 2024. But I now see Petra House has a better rate about 100 euros cheaper and includes breakfast.
But it is a little far from the city center. We will be coming from Galway bus station and take the train to Dublin.
What do you think of Petra House? Is it too far to walk with rolling luggage?

We stayed at Petra House 4 years ago. It wasn’t too far (we’ve rolled luggage a lot farther), and it was actually very well positioned for reaching sights and locations the next two days. Good breakfast, too.
Re Petra House, if we arrive early like around 10.30 am, can we drop off our luggage?

It might be better to contact them and ask rather than rely on 'hearsay' from the forum
Wasley, of course i'll contact the bnb. I was just asking in case anyone stayed there had the experience.
Although i really like to stay at Petra, at this point i'm still leaning towards staying at the hotel due to its distance from the bus/train station. If it's raining, we don't have to drag the suitcases too long.
If you look on Google maps there are three bus services from the City Centre to a stop almost outside Petra House, with a daytime combined frequency of around every five minutes. So you won't need to be rolling your luggage.
