My dtr. & bf are heading to Dublin for the T.S. concert June 30. I've been asked to find lodging. IKR! Any suggestions on communities to stay outside Dublin? They're using public transit for their travels so any information would be appreciated. Thank you!

What kind of budget do they have?- hopefully reasonably healthy, and what kind of comfort level?
I've suggested Drogheda before on the North Suburban line towards Belfast- which has £933 for two for the week.
Can't find anything on Booking.com around Howth or Dun Laoghaire (on the DART Line) under about £1,300. I've gone as far out as Maynooth but still £1200 there.
In Dublin itself there are student rooms for around £800. Private rooms, but fairly basic. And a number of Dublin hostels but for a week probably not suitable.
I'm assuming they can't find accommodations in Dublin center? Have they looked near University College Dublin, which is south of Aviva Stadium? It's about 15 min south by car. I know nothing, (and only been to Dublin once) but just thinking about what I would do if I had to figure it out. There's hotels near there, and I would also reach out to University College Dublin welcome center. Sometimes universities rent out dorm rooms as hotel rooms in the summer. I do know TSwift concerts went until 11:30pm/midnight in LA, so they need to be very sure about availability of transportation; public, uber, etc.
Aviva Stadium is south of central Dublin, so Howth and towards the north is pretty far to get to after the concert. But, otherwise, I would have suggested Howth as a possiblity.
Thank you for the advice. It's a good starting point.
