Hello All!
I am participating in the Heart of Ireland in 7 Days, on the above mentioned days, as a solo traveler! I just wanted to start/create a space for my fellow group travelers to get to know each other. I’ll go first ;)
My name is Nat and I am from Seattle. This will be my first time traveling to Ireland and I am very excited. I can be a little awkward in person with people I don’t know, so I’d like to create a space where we can talk and get to know each other before we spend the week together. A bit about me, I am nonbinary, I go by they/them pronouns. I currently work at an Indigenous cultural center (I am BIPoC but not Indigenous) and my current work project is setting up a community building book club. I am a cat lover/owner, although I inherited 2 dogs. I recently turned 30 and this will be my second trip to Europe. Although I have backpacked through central/eastern Europe about 7 years ago. I am very excited for this trip since I have not traveled internationally since before the pandemic began. I do mask in crowded/tight spaces, as a personal health choice, but not in open air situations.
I am most excited to contact to 1/2 of my roots through this trip and visiting the Cliffs of Moher and the general scenery/nature. Being from Seattle I want to see the differences between my home, where I’ve visited and Ireland.
Although I am still Covid conscious, not in a pushy way but in a personal/individual choice way, I have been ITCHING TO TRAVEL. The furthest I’ve gotten in recent years is Florida. I am willing to answer any questions our group may have and I am so excited to meet everyone (please excuse any initial awkwardness on my part, I promise I warm up with time, it’ll just take a second)!
I hope I get some responses and I’m excited to share this tour with y’all!
Best,
Nat
