Has anyone taken a day trip from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher

I've seen somewhere that that there are tour operators in Dublin that run these.
If you have taken one what was it like? is it too far too long too much?

Always seems like a long time to sit on a bus just to look at a few cliffs which may not even be visible if the weather is bad.

Unless you can decide on the day, I wouldn't do it. I've been to the cliffs (as part of a longer tour), and saw nothing, not even a tiny bit, due to rain and dense fog.

Our daughter was arriving in Dublin a few days before us, so I set up a day trip to the cliffs via the Viator website. They offer several tours that also include Galway, Doolin, and The Burren. She had a great time. Yes, it was a long day, but she did get to see a lot, and luckily the weather was perfect. She also met and hung out with several people on the bus, so it made the long ride not so tedious.

Ok I take that would be a day off decision (similar to deciding mountain excursions in Switzerland). I was considering doing this since I have a one day layover in Dublin

I’ve done it and was so disappointed because it was a foggy day and I saw nothing. I’m going back in June and giving it another try! The bus tour made several other stops which were nice, but seeing the cliffs was my main objective. Hopefully this time!
