Rick’s most recent Ireland book mentions the Legendary Walking Tour offered by Great Guides of Galway. I have had no luck contacting them. The website has a “book here” feature but clicking it shows no availability now or in the future. I tried emailing but didn’t hear back. They have a phone number listed that I tried texting via WhatsApp (I will have an international phone plan when I travel in May, but don’t have one now) but again no response. On TripAdvisor there are current reviews (most recently February 2025) and a link to book, which I haven’t tried because I prefer to book directly. Also, I’m not so much looking to book this far in advance as to learn the time(s) at which the tour will be offered on our arrival day in Galway. We need to arrange an afternoon check in time at our small B&B, and I’d like to schedule that for before or after the walking tour. Guidebook times often change after publication. Does anyone have any updated information as to whether or not they still operate daily walking tours? Thanks!

This is what is posted on their Facebook page: Join us for the Legendary Walking Tour of Galway. We depart from the Steps of the Galway City Museum. Tours run at 3.30 and 5pm (Mon-Fri) and 2pm and 4pm on Sat and Sun.
I would be a little concerned if you emailed them and received no response. [email protected]
And, like you said, their booking calendar shows no availability for any dates. Maybe they are on a break.

Thank you, Carrie! Neither the “contact us” link on their website nor the Hotmail address in Rick’s book worked, but I tried the Gmail address you provided and heard back from Neil right away. FYI, weekday tours run at 3:30 and 5:00. Neil told me they were having major technical difficulties on their website. But we are now all set. Thanks again!
